Hello I'm a fan of the cloud also .. I'm using the ichi360 v8 indicator. Is this still a reliable indi? Sometimes, ichimoku is lagging too.

hi steven, yes ichi360 it's still reliable, the indicator is based on the ichimoku that it's still the same since it's release , so no problem... keep using it

Maybe just set it up to alert you on average and strong signal if you dont want to risk to much by taking weak signals

hi jean , i'm using it, but switched to higher tfs because i dont have much time as i m working as csa, by the way... if you re a newbie with the ichimoku i reccomend you 2 things, first, read "trading with the clouds" of manesh patel; second, just use 1d and 4h tf, take the signal on 4h based on dayli tf, avoid any risk, enter bullish when price on dayli is above tenkan sen and kijun sen and bearish when price is below kumo, tenkan sen and kijun sen... right now i have 3 open trades, 2 on usd chf and one on eur usd... 100 pips positive for each one, already in BE...

you know, the ichimoku as already a sl level, you can choose between the kijun sen, the kumo cloud or the tenkan sen (for an aggressive trailing stop)... you BE depends on the TF your trading... if you start with a 4h tf your BE should be AT LEAST 70-100 pips... or you can follow the kijun, putting the sl level a few pips below/above... My SL level is between 100 and 150 pips, depend if i take a signal on 1d or 4h... then when the price is at 100 or 150 pips in profit i move on BE...

for TP you can use Trailing stop, for example, after you reach the BE level you can trail the tenkan sen... Or you can do some backtest to see how much the cross is expected to move... for example, with eur usd you can expect a 150 move in a day, with the eur jpy you can expect a 200 move... etc etc... or simply use pivot poits

i dont know if i understand well.
"how much the cross is expected to move" ?

you mean the crossing enter kijun sen and tenkan sen ? a number x of crossing before the movement change direction, is it that ?
