Can anyone help me a little please?
I'm struggling to filter the good and bad setups from amp monitor. Is there any way people use to decide which of the emerging/completed patterns to trust?
For example..... i've seen EVERY type of pattern one timeframe emerging for one pair, i.e. 121, gartley, bat, shark, butterfly etc... all on one pair.
So how would i decide which of those to trust?
In the case attached, the pattern was out by some 50 pips on entry but the actual direction of the trade was correct and had i been able to get a better entry this move was huge.... any help appreciated.
On this trade the pattern was totally out...
it takes time to master the patterns.
you should be very selective and choose only best patterns, ones that offer best RR and that are best positions on the market. Observe market from different Timeframes.
but that's my point, how do i know which are best ones to take? For now i am going to restrict my use of AMP and use Korharmonics on a few pairs to observe more closely as i find i get swamped looking at multiple pairs and multiple TF.
thanks for response.
i have one student, he spent 6 months to learn how to select good patterns out of all pointed out by korHarmonics ZUP or AMPmonitor. Another person will need more time to learn to spot them and filter.
see our TradingArsenalTV videos on youtube, this may be a good starting point.
ah. 6 months. i just need more time then ;-) I've been doing patterns for 3 weeks. I trade another method but i like the idea of combining the two. so for me it is just practice practice practice!!!
combining harmonics with other methods works very well. good luck!
hi i'm new to harmonics please advise of where to start if its possible as there are so many websites and it gets confusing..thanks
Couple of days ago i made a post here: FOREX Harmonic Trading: how to master harmonic trading that is my recommendation if someone wants to earn money with harmonic trading. But this only is if your goal is $$$.
If you goal is to learn more about markets, charts, market geometry, harmonic trading and different harmonic patterns, than you can take a look at recommended books list: Books on the Gartley pattern
and also explore the chapters here: Market Geometry & Harmonic Patterns
I am also quite new to harmonic trading, but I find this extremely interesting. Thank you kor4x for all your work and advice.
