@derago it is good someone join the discussion, but i dont think we are talking about same thing. Your approach of trading (which by the way iam not negating) is totally different. I dont know your definition of gartley pattern but if breaking AC line is for you confirmation for gartley then your missing a whole point of harmonic trading

    Hi drapichrust,

Thanks for your response. Yes, i'm not that much into trading Gartleys, although I think Wolfe waves has some coincidence with some gartley formations.

Upon looking at the charts closer and your thread, yes triangles cannot be used perfectly as a filter in this aspect and it brings out a lot of questions.

Could you be kind enough to put up a qualified gartley chart? I would like to check it out, because I notice a bit of weakness in my triangles trading concept.

    Thanks in advance.

@drapi: my research and conclusion is to forget about trading negations. Better to focus on proper patterns and position management.

your triangle trading is interesting but risky on emerging gartley, in most cases TP (half of XA) will not be reached, but i think it is more sutiable for Bat pattern where B point is on 50.0XA or 38.2 XA, check below Bat on EURJPY H4

@kor4x: trading gartley negation in way that iam talking about is very hard and I agree with you, but sometimes there situation when you see emerging gartley and you know it will fail because for example, bigger emerging pattern - and you may ride this fail gartley till bigger pattern complete, this is very similar situation for derago traingle trading, catching CD swing till PRZ then trading pattern normaly

I see your point. True, there are lots of possibilities how to trade harmonics. If one reads my posts from 2 years ago could find a bit different approach than now. My current approach is to look for the optimal entries location and ride the pattern as long as possible. What did not change over time is that I look for a higher timeframe pattern, but enter from M1 :-)
Negations I removed from my strategy. Looking for possible simplifications and less screen watching time.
