Although I keep in mind the projection ratios noted by Carney and Pesavento, in my experience they are not too reliable. As a result, I project a range of Fibonacci ratios and watch as each is approached. This is the same problem as price ratios. If, for example, an X-D ratio is specified as 1.618 does one reject the pattern if it is off by X%? And what should X be? Also, if instead of 1.618 it looks like 1.786 is that OK? I've asked both Gurus these type of questions but did not get a definite answer. All of which argues for my feeling that the patterns are just another indicator and should not be assumed to be able to stand on their own without confirmation from other indicators. Just my 2pesos.
