I've had 3 people from my friends list that play DoW 2 who have fallen for this scam. The scammer gets someones account, messages everyone on their friends list to 'vote for their CS:GO team' and link to a newly created site that asks for a fake Steam login where they just want you to enter your details so they can steal your account and continue the process. Check the profiles of the person and they don't even play CS:GO....

Now you have to be very careful because the number of scammers is enormous. It is necessary to use only verified sites and not follow strange links. Otherwise, you risk losing everything. They talk about it everywhere, but still, people fall for such elementary tricks, and I don't understand why. About selling skins, I can say that here also need to be extremely careful because by giving access to your inventory, you risk losing all items.
