When at work I use Netdania (free/online/java based) or Interactive Brokers TWS – neither of them are fancy...just adequate for my needs because all I need is the ability to draw lines. All annotations on the chart are done separately using SnagIt.
When at home I use mostly MT4.
I am waiting for long opps on EU hourly or lower. I want it to take out the low it painted a couple of hours ago and then flash me a long signal. Chart later.
AUDUSD has completed a H1 Bullish Gartley on AMP monitor and is retracing into a nice looking pin bar on H4...so more confluence now.
Very nice kor4x - some of the trades happen really quickly so we have to be patient and get them when they show up! That was a nice trade for the afternoon...
I do not look for trades much ahead of time. Sometimes people do their analysis on XABCD patterns when only XABC is formed. I look when circa 70% of CD leg is already formed. BTW: I guess we changed on AMPmonitor to present emerging pattern when only 60% of last swing is completed.
Anyway, this looking at the almost completed patterns, with not overextended and overcomplicated analysis, plus small number of FX instruments that i monitor (at least on lower timeframes) works well for me (1.patience not needed, 2.when formed i enter without hesitation) . Faster pattern forms and ends (last part of CD leg) the better the entry.
Lately i am focusing on EURUSD and AUDUSD mainly. Handling more than 2 instruments on low timeframes isn't easy, i think.
Hi SG, I am indecisive at the moment because of the strong bullish momentum. But it is certainly fighting some strong TL resistance and fresh supply. I am waiting to see if I get a strong short signal. If we do get a short signal, there's plenty of potential and it could easily go to 290 - 300 or even 270.
I am watching!
