    Hi,

    First let me say what a fantastic piece of work the Korharmonics indicator is - Excellent.

    I know this has been asked here before, but I can't seem to find an answer. Is there a manual available to download for the latest version of KorHarmonics 6.7.13? I have found a manual for v005, but I would like an up to date manual so I can fully understand all of the parameters.

    Also I do not seem to be able to open the indicator in the MetaEditor. I would like to be able to adjust default settings, but instead I have to adust teh parameters each time I ant to apply the indicator to a new chart.

    @jonny007:
    1.no manual to korHarmonics latest version. v005 that you have found would be the last probably.
    2.it's ex4 file so you cannot modify the code, but still you can change and play with all korHarmonics parameters. You can define your best parameters once and then save in a template, so on new charts you can apply the template.

    Thanks for the reply Kor.

    I was wondering if anyone has done any analysis on how the value of the MinSwing parameter affects the size (duration) of the patterns & the frequency with which they occur.

    My observation is that when set to default '0' the patterns produced are very large. The duration of the ABCD part of the Butterflys & Gartleys is 500+ bars and the frequency of patterns produced is consequently quite low. The patterns that appear on AmpMonitor are much smaller than the ones produced by the Korharmonics indicator with default MinSwing.

    I have also run limited testing with MinSwing set to 150 on a 5 min chart (compared to the default value of 400 for most pairs when it is set to 0). Here the patterns are much shorter - avg 25 bars for ABCD duration and signals are much more frequent. However they also appear to be less reliable as many of these small patterns form then fail and disappear.

    I am trying to find a balance between frequent patterns that complete their retracement beyond 'D' in a time frame thet suits my Intraday trading style, but also provides a good level of accuracy.

    I will keep on testing & post findings here. I would be interested if anyone has been down this road before.

    @cowd: it could be that the korHarmonics version you use has the triangles feature turned off. I do not remember anymore, but there was something about it.

    If i still remember, the minSwing set to 0 gives the swing size defined from ATR. Otherwise, if >0, you specify the fixed swing size value manually (which may require to be updated when market volatility changes).

    AMPmonitor works on completly different search engine (AMP indicator), so it's hard to compare pattern coming from both (korHarmonics vs AMP indicator).

    My recommendation is you first choose your FX pair(s), then best TF(not all !), verify on history the size of the patterns you are most interested in (50-150bars possible?) and then set your minSwing accordingly (you can save it in a template per each FX pair you trade).
    BTW: ATR based minSwing works pretty well.

    cheers
