    korHarmonics EA ExpertAdvisor

    Hi,
    this thread will be dedicated to korHarmonics EA (MT4 Expert Advisor) that we have prepared.

    korHarmonics EA supports all the patterns supported by korHarmonics indicator.

    The idea is not to create fully automatic tool that you plug and play or rather plug and pray. korHarmonics EA goal is to allow users to find tune their pattern trading strategy, fine tune Stop Loss, Take Profits and Trade/Position Management options.

    current settings:

    TakeProfitPips=300;
    StopLossPips=200;
    bUseStops=true;
    Lots=0.1;
    TradeLong=true;
    TradeShort=true;
    TradeRotate=true;
    MaxConOrders=2;

    TradeRotate tells that after Short must come Long
    MaxConOrders says how many concurrent trades area allowed
    so if you always want to have only max 1 trade that you set it to 1 and probable TradeRotate to false

    to control precision of the pattern we can use deviation param, e.g.: 0.1 = 10% so if pattern is spot when 90% of CD swing is drawn. If you want more exact precision of the pattern you can decrease this param, from e.g. 0.1 to 0.05 or even to 0 .... naturally you will miss many patterns in this way.

    dextMaxDeviation=0.1; -> used for all the patterns beside the ones listed below
    dextFiboDeviation=0.03;
    dextMaxSHSPriceDeviation = 0.3;
    extMaxSHSTimeDeviation = 0.3;
    dextMaxCorrDeviation=0.1;
    dextMaxOne2OneDeviation=0.1;
    dextMaxTriangleDeviation=0.05;

    Would it be possible to have the EA place trades at the end of the BC retracement on the 0.618, 0.786 and 0.860 and have the stop xPips above/below the A?

    Dragon as an emerging pattern

    Yep, one of the new patterns could be a favorite of mine: Duddellas Dragon, as an emerging 5 point classical pattern
    Risk A-C level, entry A/C level to B or breaking B level, targets depending on B ret from XA 78.6/88.6/100/113/127.2/161.8 and the rest in infinity (trailed)
    Not the best example, probably could find better ones, but here is a dragon alive and trying to fly (Dax 1 min chart)

    Did not have to wait for long for a better dragon example. Dragons are growing quickly on a good dragon farm

    I looked at and tested dragon, and seems to be a good approach:

    I really recommend this one to consider in korharmonics too!

    Kor,
    Not that I am developing and testing a new pattern every day or even every week (I would say I never do), but is it a big deal to add custom pattern function to the korharmonics indi?
