guys, our idea is to publish tomorrow the new version of our DaVincisKiss Harmonic Indicator, ver 0.614. The release notes for it are already ready
DVK v0.614 Trial Version – changes since the last version
AUTO Bu and Be Buttons have been renamed to QUICK Bu and Be – some users were expecting the AUTO Buttons to scan for valid harmonic patterns when, in fact, they were just a quick way to place letters on the chart. Sometimes a pattern is found, sometimes not. Hopefully the renaming of these buttons will clear up any confusion about their purpose.
When QUICK buttons are pressed, the indicator sets the MAGNET setting to zero – this reduces some of the strange patterns that were created by the QUICK feature.
The MANUAL button has been renamed to ASSIST. Pressing this button shows CONTROL, pressing again reverts to ASSIST. This button serves two main purposes, when in ASSIST mode: it automatically places the A and C points and works within candle wicks when validating patterns. CONTROL mode (that is when the user is in control, not the indicator) does not place A and C points and uses the precise placement of letters when confirming patterns. The default mode is ASSIST.
Some additional information will be shown on the dotted trend lines between points – when a pattern doesn’t quite meet the definitions of the CSV file, e.g. when in ASSIST mode, it will display the parameters in brackets, next to the actual percentage retracement/extension value. This provides guidance when switching to CONTROL MODE to fine-tune the placement of letters to get the correct harmonic pattern.
NAME button removed – the indicator will show the name of the harmonic pattern automatically; though you can switch this off in options, if you just want the name showing when you press the DATA button.
Certain information displayed by the indicator required the ‘Show Object Description’ box to be ticked in Chart Properties. DavincisKiss now takes care of that automatically.
Additional harmonic patterns have been added to the CSV file – including Cypher and Shark, as requested by many.
Some patterns colours have been changed, including the default for ‘Pattern Not Defined’ – from pale blue to silver.
AB=CD validation rule has been introduced for patterns that require it.
A PICTURE button has been added, to save screenshots as GIF files to your chosen folder, within your MetaTrader files folder
There is an option to show horizontal lines at the top and bottom of the PRZ Box – which is particularly useful for checking back in time for support and resistance levels.
