Domingo I think the new build in MT4 is causing the problem with that indi. This can happen sometimes when they do upgrades to the platform.

I appreciate your suggestion, you are quite correct, but how do one overcome the difficultly

This is what I'm currently doing at the moment however it gets really messy when you're trading 8 pairs simultaniously. What I'm looking for is a semi automated EA that can identify zones and then execute a host of user controlled variables. What we need is Swiss Army EA with added S&D zone detection. i.e. If zone is hit close trade, or if zone is hit bounced open short. Basically something that can be highly customised to each individual traders strategy.

I don't think S&D could ever be fully automated as every trader is different, it's like the guys who are asking for a fully automated S&D EA, it would lose without human intervention of tradeable zones relative to market dynamics. However, I think we could certainly make our jobs a lot easier by at least having an EA to identify the zones. One thing we all have in common is the placement of zones. I can't believe us MT4 traders are still drawing zones on a screen by hand yet ninjatrader traders are getting MTF zones in a single chart with APA! I spend an hour of my day just drawing zones. I'm sick of that and can't move to ninja as my broker is MT4 only!

    Hey everyone,

I've read this thread from start to finish along with other similar threads on this forum and other forums for that matter regarding supply and demand and for all that's being discussed I can't seem to determine in a systematic fashion how to qualify levels and where the proximal and distal lines would go on those levels.
Quite a few of the times on charts it's fairly obvious and even intuitively it can be discerned and figured out but in some situations, where a lot of areas that look similar could qualify as supply and demand, it gets trickier.
I guess what I'm saying is it would be great if someone would chip in and throw a few pointers on how do zones actually get picked and from where to where do they get drawn?
I've seen some videos on YouTube from this trader called "Alfonso Moreno" he has his own YouTube channel with that name and throughout one in video in particular while he's backtesting he draws supply and demand areas and he seems very specific about where to where that area is and a lot of the times it has to do with one particular candle within a basing area and I can't help but to be intrigued by it.

I look forward and thank you for all your contributions

Andre Silva, i try the new build supdem indicator and it seems working perfectly fine. However, when i set to turn on the alert message, it seems no alert at all whenever the price approach to the level or form a new level. Any ideas of what is the alert for?

I've tried various versions of the supdem indicators over the years and none of them have ever came close to manually drawing zones. Alsothe thing is you have to identify the zone stremgth by watching price action and using your brain to figure out how strong a zone is. There is no way to develop an indicator or algorithm to mimic this you need a human brain and the more you practise the better you will get at FEELING the force of the market near s/d zones.
