More than likely the TA board has a mod installed that re sizes images that are attached to posts. The better option is to embed the image in an [IMG] [/IMG] tag by uploading the image offsite with an image host.

See below the same image posted in two different ways:

    1. Embedded in [IMG] [/IMG] tags and hosted on imgur.com. I have also wrapped it in a direct link [URL] tag so the image is clickable and can be seen full size. The image visible in this post is being re sized by TA but when clicked you get the full size on imgur.com. Note: This chart is not related to this thread and is just an example.

    2. Attached to this post as an attachment (See bottom of post) which is being re sized by TA. Note: I am not discussing the thumbnail size but the size of the image when clicked. The enlarged image has been re sized from my original.

Two ways to confirm a leg has ended and is about to reverse.

    1. draw a box or triangle. from the bottom of the leg to a significant low. take this box and place the bottom of it on a significant high point on the leg. you can expect the top of the box to be the reversal point.
    2. count the candles in the current leg. divide by two. if there is a Balance point within a few candles then you can expect a reversal - especially if it marrys with a channel line.

    gleaned from the parsons books.

parsons techniques are slowly creeping their way into my trading plan for every trade.

    pic attached showing example.

Is it an EA you're talking about when you say 'software program' kolapo?

i didnt persevere with the float, had it on for a week or so, but had some false signals - i should clarify - what i mean is that the high point was held for several candles, higher highs and lower lows on the charts but the indicator showed maximum over the same period. so that influenced my confidence, but also, my two main charting platforms are amibroker and mt5, both of which wont take the indi, so i ran it on MT4 for the evaluation period.

It doesnt take long to auto count the candles and pull a box over to see if a RM point is valid and doing so actually makes you look a bit closer at price action for more to see.

Hi George we would not mind an EA or any so called program as long as the parameters are met, we can also backtest to show it works perfectly.what do you have in mind?

    Hi kolapo,

I was just thinking that you have to remember about the gaps in the market. The EA should be able to adabt if there is a gab between A & B it should deduct 1 bar for each gap and on the other hand if the gap is between B & C it should add one bar to where the actual reversal would happend.

    Does it make sense?
