Hi guys, just downloaded the PDF file. I'll have a read trough and respond accordingly.
For now I'll just throw my 2 cents in.
I haven't noticed anyone mentioning astrology in Gann's analyses.
When Gann talked about natural dates,he was talking about the days when certain planets that affect a stock or commodity line up or square. This is why he stated the birthday of the commodity contract or a stock is of great importance for future tops and bottoms forecasting. He needed to know which planets were in alignment at the time of the first trading day of nominated financial instrument. He would then keep his eye on those planets, and when they line up he would compare the position of planets on the wheel with the prices on the SQ9 wheel. The price that matched the same degree position on the SQ9 wheel as on astrological planetary wheel position would be the top or bottom and basically reversal point.

Gann did not quote it anywhere. The way he called all the tops and bottoms coming on "natural dates" is a giveaway. If you check the dates of tops and bottoms that fall on his "natural dates" in "How to make profits trading in commodities", and than check planetary positioning on those days ,you'll find that the same planets aligned in some way on those days. Different commodities were affected by different planets, but always the same ones for the same commodities. What is a "natural date" anyway?! Just think about it,and work it out for yourself. Gann is not the easiest man to understand, but that is only because he wanted people to work it out for themselves. He left little clues everywhere in his books.
